Green
A Genuine Green Company
Any company can claim they work Green. But do they have the credentials?
Tapani Plumbing is an accredited Green company. We have LEED Accredited Professionals on staff. Meaning, they have successfully passed the comprehensive accreditation exam given by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI). The GBCI is a third party organization committed to increasing and measuring the performance of buildings and communities.
We walk the talk
From our offices to the job sites we work on, Tapani Plumbing “walks the talk” when it comes to supporting Green work practices.
At our home office, low flow technology has been incorporated wherever possible. Electric sensor water fixtures have been installed along with energy efficient boilers and furnaces.
On our job sites, processes are implemented ensuring that we recycle all recyclable material. And, our most recent and significant approach to working Green is our JCB Micro Excavator.
GFX Technology
Tapani Plumbing uses a cutting edge plumbing technology called GFX (Gravity Film eXchanger). The GFX is a copper heat exchanger collecting the wasted 50 to 85 percent of hot water that is lost down the drain. The process is done without contaminating the cold water supply. Once the GFX collects the wasted hot water through its copper drain line it transfers this water back to the cold water supply. The transfer of wasted hot water to the cold water supply reduces the overall power used by the water heater.
The result is less energy used and less money spent to heat water. Click here to read about Tapani Plumbing’s Multi-family Project where GFX Drainwater Units are now providing half-price showers for the residents!
Tapani works Green while still staying productive. We “walk the talk” when it comes to Green work practices, and we are always seeking out new innovations to raise the bar when working Green.
