Shop Manager
Evan started out as an apprentice in November of 2003. He worked as a Project Foreman for many years before coming into the Shop in May of 2023.
Evan takes care of all the office/shop maintenance, making sure the tools are all working correctly, keeps the field employees supplied with the correct tools and equipment in order for them to get the job done, along with much more.
Project Manager
Alex started out as a plumbing apprentice in August of 2008 and soon became a skilled and professional project foreman. In February of 2023 he was promoted to Project Manager and took on the role of making sure that projects are complete on time and within budget, along with much more.
Safety Manager
Dan is responsible for overseeing our safety program. He orients new employees and looks for ways to improve upon safety and training. It is his job to collect weekly reports from project Foremen and do monthly job site inspections, and make sure each employee is properly trained in a number of safety related tasks.
BIM
Jordan started here in 2013 as a laborer. He then moved to prefab. BIM help was needed so he jumped in to help in March 2020 and has been enjoying it ever since. In his current positions he creates virtual plumbing modeling for clash coordination and prefabrication.
Payroll
Tasha began working at Tapani Plumbing in 2012 at the position of Receptionist and Accounts Payable. Tasha now has taken over Accounts Receivable and Payroll. She has a positive attitude and gets her work accomplished so everyone gets paid on time.
Operations Manager
As Operations Manager, Loren oversees Tapani Plumbing’s field staff and prefabrication department. Loren started in February of 2000 and holds a Journeyman Plumbing license in both Washington and Oregon. Previously a project foreman, Loren was promoted to General Foreman in 2014, and promoted to his current position as Operations Manager in early 2022. In his free time he enjoys outdoor activities with family and friends.
General Manager
As a General Manager, Kurt assists and oversees Tapani Plumbing’s finance/shop/sales & marketing/ operation departments to ensure all sectors of the company are operating smoothly. Kurt began working for Tapani Plumbing in 2001 as a plumbing apprentice and rose through the ranks to become a project foreman in 2005. Due to the quality of his work and his attention to detail, Kurt was promoted to a Project Manager position in 2012. In 2022 he was promoted to General Manager. In his free time Kurt enjoys time with family or engaging in outdoor activities.
Controller
Roberta started in Accounts Payable for Tapani Plumbing in 2000 and was promoted to her current position as Office Manager one year later. As Tapani Plumbing’s office manager, Roberta manages banking and corporate investments, corporate insurance, accounts receivable, project billing, and employee benefits. She performs her role confidently with precision and excellent attention to detail, ensuring financial stability of the company and a positive working environment for employees. Roberta’s outstanding professional and organizational skills make her a valuable asset to the company.
Estimator
Mark started with Tapani Plumbing in the fall of 2012 as a laborer. He was drafted into the office in the spring of 2013 when there was need for help in the estimator’s office. As an estimator, Mark develops bids.
Estimator
Drew started with Tapani Plumbing in 2009 as a shop assistant and delivery driver, before being promoted to be our purchasing agent. In early 2011 we had need for assistance in the estimating department, and Drew was promoted to this role. As an estimator, Drew excels at developing bids, researching the project, assembling proposal portfolios, and calculating material and labor costs.
BIM
Blake started with us in the fall of 2014. He was a project assistant for several years before getting involved with building information modeling. Blake uses CAD software to create virtual plumbing modeling for clash coordination and prefabrication.
General Foreman
Aaron supervises the finishing phases of all projects. He began with Tapani Plumbing in 1993, working his way from shop boy to journeyman plumber. Aaron was a project foreman for many years, and because his primary concern is ensuring the quality of each project is kept to the highest standards, he was promoted to his current position in 2014. Besides being our quality control analyst, Aaron is involved with the hiring process and dispatching of manpower and crews.
Project Manager
David has been with us since 1999, when he started as an apprentice. He holds a Journeyman card in both Washington and Oregon. David brings many years of experience running large, complex projects to his position as project manager.
President
Ross began working for Tapani Plumbing in 1993. During his tenure as a licensed journeyman plumber, he learned the complexities of the design, installation and operation of the dynamic commercial plumbing systems Tapani installs. Ross oversees all operations and departments. His leadership strength lies in motivating and inspiring the individuals he supervises.
He affords them the latitude to plan and execute their own projects, and encourages each individual to come up with common sense solutions for complex issues. Ross has earned his reputation as a respected and experienced leader by trusting and empowering the employees he works with.
Tapani Plumbing was founded by Gunnar Tapani in 1983, beginning as a small plumbing contractor that has expanded into the trusted commercial plumbing contractor it is today. He led Tapani Plumbing through many years of steady growth and believes Tapani’s culture of hard work and trust in General Contractor and client relationships is the primary factor in the company’s continued success and leading reputation in the commercial plumbing field.
